Meanwhile, back in the lab…

While I was away in the field, volunteer Ward Littlefield was working on the jacket containing ribs and vertebrae from the Carmel Church whale (collected in 2006 about 2 feet from where we were digging last week.)

Carmel Church-Days 7 and 8

On Friday we finished removing the last jacket. Actually, the last two jackets, as we decided to divide the last jacket in two. All the jackets were safely removed, and we spent Saturday preparing to break camp.
